Corcovado Canopy

This is the famous zip lining tour through the treetops of the rain forest. You'll have the chance to feel the height of the amazing old growth of the primary forest boarding Corcovado National Park. Door to door, from the hotel,  you should allow 4 hours for this tour.

Horseback Riding

You will be guided along our undeveloped coast line by a local horseman. These tours are not only for experienced riders; anyone with an interest in exploring primary rain forest outside of Corcovado will enjoy them. The views along the coastal trail are nothing short of amazing. There are several options in the length of the tour.

Kayaking

The lodge backs up to the Agujitas river. From our dock, our guests are welcome to use a single or double kayak and explore the cool waters, charming waterfalls, and diverse wildlife.

Birding

The abundance of bird life right around La Paloma Lodge is amazing. The ideal time to walk is early in the morning or the late afternoon. Birding enthusiasts will be excited to view tanagers, hummingbirds, macaws, toucans, manakins, hawks, robins, flycatchers, honeycreepers, trogons, and woodpeckers just steps away from the lodge. Our naturalists guides are professionals in birdwatching. They have extensive knowledge of the area and the numerous bird species that reside here. Their keen eyes and expertise in bird calls will impress even the most avid birder. Your birding guide will be equipped with a high-powered spotting scope to aid in viewing the glorious feathered friends but we do recommend you bring your own binoculars.

Sport Fishing

The types of sport fishing boats vary from awning covered skiffs to large custom-built sport fishing yachts, amount of time and distance you want to travel on the ocean. We use local Costa Rican and American captains with years of experience in these waters. Depending on the time of year and the fishing location, you may expect to catch dorado, snapper, tuna, wahoo, rooster and/or sailfish. Please ask about different pricing options. Massage

Our massage therapists are trained and certified to perform a professional, non-invasive, deep tissue massage of the entire body. Your massage therapist will come to your room to set up the massage table on your balcony. We offer 1 or 1.5 hour massages.
